We’re delighted to announce the appointment of a new Parent Trustee, Katie Cutler, to join our Board of Trustees.
Katie’s son Arthur, from Bolton, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia when he was just 16 months old and was treated at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. You can read his story here.
Says Katie, “Arthur is thankfully two years in remission now but has been left with lasting effects having been diagnosed at such a young age. There is still so much more to do to improve the diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer. Hundreds of promising research ideas still don’t receive funding and never even get off the ground. We need to change that.”
Please join us in welcoming Katie to the team, we’re sure she’ll provide valuable insight and support.
