A massive thank you and well done to the Y6 students from St Bernard’s RC Primary School and Acacias Community Primary School and N-Gage for supporting Friends of Rosie through their ‘The Beats’ project.
‘The Beats’ is an N-Gage community project in which the children worked together to create and produce their own music album, and researched and chose a charity that they would like to raise money for. And lucky for us, we were the charity they chose!
The children sold the album to family and friends to raise money for children’s cancer research. They raised a fantastic £100 plus lots of awareness for children’s cancer research too.
Here’s what the children had to say about the experience:
‘We designed the album cover with a computer and put together 11 hands, a school and a heart in the middle. The hands represent the 11 different members of our group and the heart represents our contribution to charity. The school represents how children like us can make such a big difference in the world’.
‘We picked Friends of Rosie because we wanted to help kids like us’.
Amazing work and thank you for your support and creativity for children with cancer.
