Oscar, aged 8, and George, aged 6, spent last week completing their 2.6 challenge for Friends of Rosie, raising £604 with gift aid.
They asked family and friends to set them a series of challenges to do with the numbers 2.6 or 26. The challenges ranged from 26 press-ups and star jumps, to reading 26 pages and wearing 26 items of mum’s clothing!
The boys completed their challenges over one week, culminating in a 26 second, freezing cold shower. They’ve raised just over £600 for vital children’s cancer research – an amazing amount!
You can see their challenge video here:
Oscar and George’s mum, Helen, works with Friends of Rosie and the boys have helped with lots of activities for the charity in the past. Says George, “The challenge was really fun. The best challenge was dressing up in mum’s clothes because her clothes are really comfy and it felt silly! My friend at school had cancer and she had to be off school for a long time. I want all children with cancer to get better.”
Oscar says, “My favourite challenge was the cold shower inspired by my friend Elizabeth who did the same thing. We wanted to do something fun for charity while we’re stuck at home.”
