September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, symbolised by a gold ribbon to commemorate the event. It’s an annual international awareness month to raise support, funding and awareness of childhood cancers.
Childhood cancer has devastating effects on young bodies and minds and is devastating for families and friends too. At a time when children should be learning and playing, if they have cancer, their lives are filled with hospital appointments, medication and operations.
Awareness, education and more funding for research is vital to make a difference to children with cancer.
