Our wonderful Trustee, Lesley Dowdall, set herself the challenge of running a marathon to raise money for children’s cancer research. Where better to undertake her challenge than the beautiful city of Barcelona?

Lesley headed out to the sunny city to run the marathon on 7th November. Says Lesley, “It was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was amazing and running round such a beautiful city took the pain away (well some of it anyway) from running 26.2 miles!

“I did it in 4hours 5 mins, which I was very happy with, especially as I really struggled in the last few miles. However, knowing how many people had sponsored me, certainly helped to keep me going!”

Lesley raised a fantastic £1,440 thanks to the amazing support of her friends and family.
