It was a fantastic start to the day today. We were up bright and early to help open the new B&M Store in Hulme High Street.
Our wonderful Young Ambassador, Ruth Grace, was up early in the middle of her half term holiday to meet the B&M store team.
After a tour of the fabulous new store (it’s a new concept furniture and DIY store), Ruth Grace cut the ribbon to officially open the store for customers.
The opening of the new store has seen more than 20 locals hired, and those colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity to act as VIPs on opening day. They chose Friends of Rosie to take centre stage!
The store manager at B&M Hulme said: “Friends of Rosie really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, especially during the pandemic. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
Our huge thanks to the B&M team for asking Friends of Rosie to be a part of your special day. And thank you for the £250 of vouchers donated to the charity. We’ll be raffling them off as part of our 30th Birthday celebrations later in the year. Watch this space to be in with a chance to win.
Well done Ruth Grace and thank you B&M for your support. We couldn’t do what we do, funding pioneering childhood cancer research, without the support of our local communities.

Thank you
